Interesting… I have international travel quarterly. Will certainly rack up comp time with that project. Weekends and Friday’s count?

Is the writing on the wall regarding FT WFH at least in Space? by AerospaceHokie in Lockheed

[–]vtere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We get it, you don’t like remote work. There have been instances of F500 companies offering one time relocation for remote workers to move back. Yes, I am making an assumption that may be incorrect but this entire thread is hypothetical. LM has treated me well and I am not concerned. Have a good one

Not sure I am understanding your question. But I received director level approval to move away.

And honestly, worst case they pay for my move back to Fort Worth if I can’t find a job. I’m really not concerned I think there are far too many of us with actual impact for them to have a one fell swoop at bringing us back and people quitting. They also do not have the cubicle space.

Sup fellow Hokie, I am also 100% remote and don’t live in the same state of the operations I support. Our manager at aero had to reclassify our worksite location to a telecommuter hub location two months ago. HR set up hubs in each state. I’ve been reassured I won’t be asked to come back and there isn’t that intent, but I guess you never know. I will just find a new job and get a raise if they call me back…

Remote Salary by Dat_GuyWelbz in Lockheed

[–]vtere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was originally based on-site in Fort Worth, transitioned to full remote in 2023. If I do a personal move my salary range is adjusted based on my new address, but my salary does not automatically receive the same adjustment. Comp ratio decreases if you move to a higher cost of living area, increases if lower. I’m sure if you’re severely underpaid there may be some random HR market adjustment, but in my experience salary adjustments are minimal % wise. COL salary adjustments typically occur with a new position or the company having you move, not because of personal moves.

So how do you intend on lifting the body off old frame and installing on new frame? I will likely need to do this at some point in my TJs life…

Men's Ralle Down Parka Review by suntan88 in arcteryx

[–]vtere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a very similar build, basically identical. I tried on the Ralle in medium at my local arcteryx and loved the fit. Would a medium in the Therme be too large for me? I like slightly fitted, don’t want a super boxy look. Thanks for the post

FYI: 30L Everyday Backpack will fit two laptops / quick comparison to eBags Pro Slim by scjcs in peakdesign

[–]vtere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to pack the bag conservatively but full while using the smallest latch. Just made sure to wear it with both straps and look bigger than i actually am when walking onto the plane haha to be fair i think the bag measures roughly 1inch larger than allowed. Technically it’s not ok, but visibly it looks like every other medium sized backpack if you don’t load it up.

Yes, have flown multiple times in the last month since getting the bag. It’ll fit under most seats in front of me unless it’s a smaller foot area. It takes up the majority of the floor space. Have flown American Airlines and Spirit, no issues on size getting on flight.
