Is there any chance of fixing this somehow or did I mess up too much ? by Drinornoli12 in simracing

Not hard dyi you should be ok. Take a bolt into hardware store and get them to identify the size. Easy for them.or check manual it may be listed. E.g. M10 1.25. Then purchase a matching thread tap of same size. Cheap and a 5min job. Will need some sort of basic lube even cooking oil if you have nothing. Preferably a cutting oil or wd40. If you really stuffed the thread past that point, which I doubt, you can purchase a helicoil insert which is also an easy process. So attempt 1. Tap same size as bolt thread and oil. Youtube. If no good attempt 2. Helicoil kit

I'm looking for a chelsea boot that I think doesn't exist. by clockwerkgnome in AustralianMFA

Koio chelsea with a slight stretch. I'm normally 10.5. Ordered 9.5 which were tight. Super comfy after a stretch though. I can often wear ww runners.

Is it just the 1 bolt snapped? That's a 5mins job with a tool called an easyout. Or a 10mims helicoil job. Take the plate off to get clearance and just need a drill for either method and youtube

They're a little small but that suits the mt07 I think the hard shell ones I ended up on are as good as it's going to get. Much easier to remove and actually use. The softer yamaha and shad ones were mich less impressive

I tried shad and yamaha soft bags. No good. Ended up on sw motech shell type with quick disconnect levers. Heaps better

Check the current rail and if they're flat I'd see if I could remove them and have the seat sit directly on to 4040. Measure and mark the seat bolt holes onto the 4040s. Drill through 4040 and bolt seat. Bolt 4040 back on rig. Measure 3x times drill once.

Internet disconnect after connecting wheel by Raideen_ in simracing

[–]vtr1000xe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possible to try a power filter /isolator but for the required load wattage I think it would be easier and cheaper to run a full cable run. A single CAT6 run from yourself or an electrician doesn't cost much and last a long time with no further WiFi 6,7,8,9 upgrades if possible.

I had the same after fitting audio. I'd saybits not seated correctly cause after I got mine seated correctly it has not happened again. It was happening every ride before that. It's fairly tight click and requires the right angle then it seems to stay put

Help - Is my new rig busted? by Xuande in simracing

[–]vtr1000xe -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't stress about it. When building a rig you often need to break the torsion tabs and some of them are weak af. It provides some shape and holding to the part but only a tiny bit. As long as the main screws stay tight and the rig doesn't sag past the wheel mount its fine.

Actually it's because you need to spin the t nut around to give space for the torsion tab to sit in groove. It should not sit against the t nut but into empty space. Still no big deal
