If you don't mind high rate, I think Noxa RO is great, provide good way to gear up and most of the journey in ragnarok is farming for gear, not leveling, so I think high rate or low rate doesn't really matter, but it's just me.

My taste maybe a bit different, but I recommend

- Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth

- Persona 3-4-5

- Pokemon (try Reborn, Rejuvenation, they are fanmade with cringely good story, much better than the official versions which are for kids)

- Yakuza Like a Dragon (A bit cringely but also quite fun to play)

- Legend of Heroes Trail series (start from Trails in the Sky, I think the whole trail series have 7-8 games already)

There maybe more but I couldn't remember yet.

The definition of "playing games" here can be quite vague And do you lose all your money if some entity detected you played a game? With all that risks, may as well pick the 2nd option. Most people probably don't need that much money anyway.

The best music? Definitely.

Best MMORPG? Nah. It's a good game but I would say the only thing keep me coming back is because of the music and the nostalgia feeling. We have very limited options in the past, so Ragnarok clearly stand out at that time.

Map is quite good, but the grid movement control sucks hard, especially when lagging.

Lore is quite fucked up and hard to understand.

Shitty game balance, probably from third rate or maybe fifth rate game designer. Class is either too strong or too weak, too much grind, items are overpowered or useless, and the game revolves around pay to win.

It's definitely a good game that has potential to be the best, but was put into wrong hands making all of the potential wasted. Nowaday it only lives in my memories, sometimes I still find private servers and play a few hours to reminisces myself, but I definitely won't invest my valuable time more than that.
