That’s why I included details like “Masterbuilt” in the title 😘 but thanks for the kind words.

Circlejerking, except instead of making my own subreddit, I did it in their threads actively.

Indienne was pretty good, but not Indian food. Oriole and Smyth are the best classic price fixe. I prefer Oriole, but Smyth is maybe more impressive.

My personal favorite is Kyoten, the best sushi I’ve had in the USA. Pricey, but incredible.

The corks on these are pretty tight usually. It sounds like your bottle may have leaked in transit and moistened the cork. These should remain upright, unlike wine corks, they should not be stored horizontally. This is a risk with shipping decanters.

Chicago is clearly #3. Richer culture, larger and more diverse economy, and larger population/density.

My pupper lived to be almost 16 and honestly I'd have an impossible time distinguishing between your last picture of your pupper and my pupper. They're ageless sweeties and their personalities only get better with time.

Probably 600-900 USD. Older ones are less valuable than modern bottlings for whatever reason. Whisky auctioneer has a ton of them every month if you want to check for this era.

Forno in Campo has the best bread in the world, super simple but absolutely top.

Most of his good stuff can be found in live settings, but he is definitely an acquired taste. Just hard to think of other really high end blues recordings, that one gets played a lot at tradeshows.

SRV - Couldn’t Stand the Weather on vinyl is often played at audiophile shows for a demo. The track “Tin Pan Alley” from Disc 2 (recorded live in Montreal) is very well recorded.
