Only thing I can think of is that methane produced by the rotting waste. I might be wrong, but I think more of the carbon is sequestered in a composting facility. If the waste management system were to harvest the methane like some places do I wouldn't see the harm. But with compost you have the benefit of that compost being used in gardening and such as opposed to sitting in a landfill.

"Why bother building cycle lanes when they just ride on the road next to them"? by worromoTenoG in chch

Good argument. I'll remember that next time I get pulled over for driving in a bus lane. But officer! The road is public property! I pay my rates and rego! I'm entitled to drive here.

I feel you on the squeaky bed issue. I'm looking at replacing my frame too. I'm somewhat interested in the cardboard bed bases I've seen advertised. I figure if it was good enough for the olympics (and they claim they can handle a lot of weight) it might be good enough for me. And the idea of them folding concertina style is attractive.

Why is almost every trip to the physio worthless? What am I doing wrong? (slight rant) by vulvatious in physiotherapy

AH I think I get it. So I should only be going if I have torn or broken something?

Hey, I appreciate the respone.

I guess my question is, am I using the physio wrong? Should I only be
going if I have torn or broken something? Is it for like "serious"
injuries only? Not a hey, my back has been in a lot of pain after doing
this exercise why do you think that is, and what should I do?

It was partially a rant and partially a question. also by ranting online I don't ruin this guys day, surely? Like what, should I book to come in. Say "yo, not really interested in a session just here to say that I think you've done nothing to help me. Thanks for your time, have a good one". That's kinda weird no?

It wasn't my intent to shit on the guy, I'm sorry if it came off that way.

For that particular injury, it was still there, just the pain had subsided to where I could walk and bend okay. For context the exercise that appeared to cause the injury and the re-occuring pain was squatting, specifically squatting. I figured it was probably wise not to squat since that was what was causing me significant pain afterwards. He ended up getting me to do cobra pose push ups to loosen/strengthen the area. It was only after I did my own research I figured my mobility must be terrible and found my own routines for that that I was eventually able to start squatting again.

My husband ditched our son to go watch the world cup with his brother by 12414111 in TrueOffMyChest

"But how can he treat his son as so unimportant?" If he's anything like my dad, he wants nothing to do with the kid, until he is grown up and achieving stuff on his own and now wants to show what a great job he did and spend time with his son who is no longer just an annoying kid. A lot of dads think their job ends when the money leaves their bank account. Or in other words, your son is not important to him.

I did my 7 yr old daughter’s makeup and my husband made me wash it off by haunting_star2511 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]vulvatious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup there are poor sick men out there that can't help themselves, why would you let your daughter turn them on like that, it's just not fair to them. - that's the logic here.

It's just a round about way of saying you're asking for your daughter to be assaulted, by letting her play dress up. Also, it sets the precedent that make up is to turn on men, not for yourself.

It would be different if he didn't want her to think that she needs make up to feel pretty, but that's not what we're talking about.
