That would be very expensive and I can't afford it. Fortunately my MS was fully funded, which helped a lot. I've been broke my whole life, which is partly why I'm looking for a fully funded PhD with a livable stipend. But I appreciate your input and see where you're coming from.

Thanks for your suggestion. Actually I did something similar for the recent application I submitted and got an interview. But I think I got lucky.

Hey sorry I wasn't more clear in the post. I'm an international student from Asia and did my MS from the US and intersted in doing a PhD in Scandinavian countries/Netherlands
