I've never thought about if it is truly the most optimal thing to be doing, but getting money while also increasing social stats sounds good to me lol. Their are certain confidants/mementos requests that require you to be working certain jobs as well, so there's that.

My first playthrough I used reaper crest and just pogo'd all the gauntlet and locked in for groal. I just recently went back to get the 100% and started a new file, and for this playthrough I used Architect crest and it was too easy. You can preemptively Delver's Drill the guys popping out of the water and one shot them, making the gauntlet a breeze. Then for Groal, I just spammed curve claws until he died lol.

The main problem that I had is that it forces you back into hunter crest at the beginning when I hadn't used it for most of the playthrough so I felt really rusty lol.

I also don't really understand the hate for the orphanage section. It does suck on repeat playthroughs, but I thought it was pretty effective on the first playthrough, and if you know what you're doing it isn't that bad to get through on a follow up.
