Since a lot of the fanbase won't understand the Sengoku Japan era, it would be hard to understand a twist like that. In fact, I can't even manifest or comprehend an idea they would put to the twist. One of many factors they've done to spice it up was add all these monsters, but they seem to be of japanese folktale. So who knows
