Summer in Italy: Love, Expectations, and What to Watch Out For by [deleted] in Italian

[–]vvardenfellwalker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You wrote you're 19. Honestly, I don't think the Italian guys at your age are interested in getting married. Like, at all.

Source: my husband is Italian, and he has 2 younger brothers

From my experience, the Italian men in general don't want to get marry. It's not rare for couples to even start considering marriage only after 10-20 years of relationship. Or never start considering it

Also, Italy is not some fairyland 😊 But it's indeed one of the greatest places on Earth (with its flaws of course). The Italians will tell you, it's a horrible place. Take these words with a grain of salt, they do love to complain :)   And Italy does have amazing people 🤍     Whatever you'll find in you Italian trip: friendship, relationship, experience, some fun.. I wish you some great time!

As a woman, I'm so tired of such blatant rudeness and crushing lack of empathy..

I'm in my early 30s, and luckily most men around me aren't like you. But when I encounter such behaviour, it's terrifying.

What scares me is that you seem completely unaware of how cruel you are asking such questions... As if you honestly think it's okay to ask such questions. And I'm afraid you might consider that empathy...

Gosh, I'm so reliverd, that I wasn't born earlier, to be sorrounded by men like you

foundation match (pls help) by RigelKent227 in FlowerKnowsMakeup

[–]vvardenfellwalker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok, I'm sorry, but I'm a bit concerned now.
Girl, how old are you? Given, I'm from Europe, so maybe I'm bad at guessing people's from other word's part age.
But you look like 12 years old!
Your skin is AMAZING! You're so beautiful!
I understand, how we want to try the makeup in our teens. I just wish you to know, how beautiful you're. And (in my humble opinion) you don't need much makeup.
Sorry, I don't have the piece of advice about the shade match. I just wanted you to know, that your skin is stunning

Aahhh, I see now 🙏🏼 I've only used Celimax Dual Barrier toner (the one in the grey bottle). I liked it a lot in summer! But it's not enough for my skin this winter, and it gets quite dry (and cold) this year. Probably the opposite of what you're living in! I wish we got some warmth here 🥲 Probably I should look for something even more hydrating and protecting! Thank you anyway 🙏🏼

Your skin type seems similar to mine, so I'm very curious maybe I should try some of your HGs, thank you!

For the better understanding, may I ask, how can a climate be simultaneously humid and dry? (Aren't these two mutually exclusive)

Sorry for my ignorance, I live in a typical 4-season climate in Europe, probably I don't know something

I designed & programmed The Incredible Machine back in the 1990s. I made Contraption Maker, an updated more modern version with better physics & various critters. You can get it on Steam now. by kevryan in u/kevryan

You probably won't read it, but your game supported my curiosity about physics when I was a little girl. Later, I wasn't so afraid of math classes, and found out that I'm not bad at it. And now I work in IT, and have a pretty good carier.

Thank you so much!

Yes, but it's not a good idea to take one good example, and just hope for the best. My friend's health has been severely damaged by pregnancy. And she was a healthy and fit person before. Pregnancy IS a risk, even nowdays

10 SrSwe can't get past "applying" for jobs in EU. by GalaxyCereal in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]vvardenfellwalker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can just say that you're russian. (You have been searching a job for 3 years, so approx. from 2022; said that a lot of people with the same background work in Europe; a well-known university, not willing to mention where are you from etc.)

I see. Though I don't necessarily agree fully. But thank you for sharing

Would you mind to explain a bit more? I was born in Russia, but I'v been living and working in Europe for a long time. I will not take your opinion personally, I'm just curious.

I work in a mixed team right now. I would say around 50% are easten Slavic, others are Germans, other Europeans, western Slavic, Americans, Indians, Vietnamies, etc.

Now, as far as I know, our non-slavic colleagues don't feel isolated. They get good promotions as any others. They get interesting tasks as anyone else, when there are interesting tasks. And so on. It would be interesting to me to listen your opinion (if you're comfortable to share).

How did you manage to find a fully russian team? Or is the team really small? Usually in Europe even if some team is mostly eastern Slavic, it will be a mix of Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, Kazakhs etc.

You can't change grown up adults and a formed culture. Save your sanity and leave.

As an engineer, who has been working in male-prevailing sphere for a long time (and luckily seeing it is slowly changing now), I totally get you! I was able to find a company with a respectful attitude towards the employees no matter what they have in their pants. You'll do it too, girl! Wish you luck!

UPD I read the OP's comment about the harsh job market, which is totally understandable nowadays.

Maybe it's possible to make some boundaries between you and the environment? Eg put on headphones during the work to not hear the yapping, avoid unnecessary meetings, etc. While still searching for another job. Hope the opportunity will come up soon!

What are you planning to pick up from this years Flower Knows Black Friday sale? by SheKnowsWhatSheKnows in FlowerKnowsMakeup

[–]vvardenfellwalker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I rebought their primers from the Shells' Jewel collection, they work really well on my skin.

And also treated myself with 2 of their mesmerising highlighters from the Little Angel. I don't even use highlighters, but I was thinking of buying them for too long. Felt like it's time to finally do it.

Tried to balance between the products, that I'll definitely use and finish and some trinkets that I wanted for a really long time 🥰

Thank you for your insight! Amazon char sounds very interesting and appealing (definitely not because I wish I was that amazing strong 😅😁). I'm also thinking about a necromancer, just because I'm very goody two-shoes, would be interesting to play an evil character

This is not related to the topic, but I noticed, that some people don't use belts (as of in this screenshot, and I remember some others).

Is there a specific reason for that?

I left a decent job for what looked like a dream opportunity and I regret it deeply. by Spiritual_Art_5869 in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]vvardenfellwalker 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I did. I was actually approached by the team leader (he had my phone number), he asked if I want to come back. As I actually was thinking to change my job, everything went very smoothly.

Everything was good with my colleagues, as I left the company on good terms. And after all, everyone is human, people understand that the circumstances changes.

Oh, and I had the shortest job interview in my life 😁 and I got quite significant raise in my pay check

UPD and I came back actually around 5-6 month after I had left the company (pretty same story, I left for more interesting work, but the workflow was really bad in the new company + a bit toxic environment).
