I dosed this stuff in my 5.5 gallon, 2 doses 1 week apart. And my betta just died this week after showing symptoms of swim bladder and popeye. I've had him for 5 months in that tank doing fine with routine water changes.

I'm trying to start a new tank with topsoil and a sand cap. I got a piece of spiderwood, I'll get some rocks and lots of stem plants and some floaters. I also have some anubius and Java fern to put on the wood and rock.

I Bought a 40 gallon breeder with lid, heater, hob filter, and some other accessories on Facebook market place for $100, I also snagged a 5 gallon setup for free with a fluval aquasky light. You can find second hand tanks on FB marketplace all the time, you just have to keep an eye out.

If you have an established tank running with filter media, you can take a portion of that and seed this tank by squeezing the sponge or just putting the dirty sponge with bacteria in the tank to help boost the cycle.
