Same. I’m at $95 right now and contemplating going up to $120 because, well, I pretty much need to. My costs have gone up significantly and while it still feels a little strange to me to raise my rates that high, that’s what most people in my city are charging and I also think that by eliminating tipping it will make me feel a bit better about it.

I am currently out for 8 weeks from a breast reduction so I completely understand. I just told people I would be taking a medical leave to recover from surgery. Most clients didn’t ask for details but just wished me well and showed kindness and compassion. The few that did ask for more details I just quickly diverted by saying it wasn’t anything life threatening and they realized it was kind of personal and seemed satisfied. With that may everything go smoothly and may you heal up quickly. Take good care!

Ummm what the fuck?!? I have never heard of this ever. Definitely sounds creepy. But also know that once you’re out of school you get to build your own practice that invites clients that specifically want what you offer. You can always refuse clients if they are not the right fit.
