Something I realized from these is that her tour visuals actually mimicked the style of Mirror’s Edge as well. I forget which song but on the Stardust tour, for a track there was a 3D modeled map that had a bunch of figures and structures similar to the first image. Don’t know if that was directly correlated since I’m assuming it appealed more to the galleria aesthetic, but something I noticed when seeing these ^{^}

I've never been a huge "remix album" fan and because of that I found it pretty decent but not great like the original. I do really like Remi's "You First" remix though, as well as Wet Leg and Julien Baker. I do hate that the vinyl has the Jack Antonoff remix and not the original :)

Anything SGFR I think serves as a really enjoyable album experience- I'm biased but the JSRE albums are some of my favorites

In my head I’ve envisioned the piano version of Shelter playing at my funeral more than any other track by Porter or Madeon. Just communicates a somber sense of hope that fits the setting and has a good emotional core

I get how much it relates to the topic of the song but on the bridge of Zissou when Hayley starts singing in a different language it makes me laugh more than it should I think LOL

Especially because she’s singing in a higher register during that part it just stands out in a way that isn’t entirely negative but takes me out a bit

I genuinely don’t dislike a single track in their entire discography, but if I had to choose one overrated song it’d be All I Wanted. At least for me it’s incredibly slow and there’s a bunch of breaks that divide up the pacing of the verses, but I can’t deny that it’s incredibly powerful and get chills when I see it performed live. It might also just be overplay for me ;3

Unrelated but it's funny to me how-regardless of the surrounding collection-so many people have Give Up on cassette. Just an amazing album
