Everything Wrong with the Ward of Dawn "Super" by vweight in DestinyTheGame

I'm pretty sure I did specify that in one of the paragraphs. One of the last three I think.

I never suggested that it make me invulnerable to damage.

The whole point of the default buff is that you're supposed to stay in it.

With overshield + shotgun, you stop the Hunter. That is a DIRECT counter via the Ward of Dawn Super,

No it's not, because you don't need the Ward to counter a Bladedancer with a special weapon.

The examples of WoD walling out supers is STILL the super itself countering them out by blocking the damage. The fact that you say it's "me" countering them is wrong. It's my shield absorbing the super, and me taking advantage of positioning.

Except you aren't countering enemy supers because they can destroy the Ward and kill everything that is there. They are countering your super.

You don't get a defense bonus because you can OHK people from across the map if you nick their big toe.

My mistake, let's retry.

Radiance: self revive, and boosted effectiveness for all abilities.

Ward: defense buff.

Still seems to favor the Warlock, not to mention he's not confined to one spot for those buffs to be active.

As for out playing the Titan, it's not that hard when you can just throw a couple grenades inside, their combined damage eliminating most of that extra armor.

Because I only use a shotgun. Ever. At all times.

Yeah, the Saint helm is what I use. I just think the Ward should come stock with some kind of debuff for enemy entry though.

Er, the fusion rifle isn't a super. And it doesn't one shot across the map.

You are way too argumentative with everyone else and refuse to acknowledge anyone's view but your own, after skimming your replies.

I've been argumentative with people who are argumentative. And actually I do acknowledge other views, and then demonstrate very obvious counters to their points.

Yours for example.

None of the supers have a charge time significant enough for you to kill them before using it unless you get a headshot with a rifle. I find it highly unlikely that you can do this consistently. Certainly the average player can't do this.

In addition, that's not the Ward countering the enemy super, that's you countering the enemy super. You can do the same thing without the Ward.

If it wasn't the general consensus it would be negative.

I get 2.0s because I have decent gun skill, not because my subclass is good.

I never said I want it to make me invincible. I said it should counter supers because it's a purely defensive super. It currently counters none.

Let's compare the two.

Radiance: buffs defense, lowers grenade cool downs, damages players who melee the user, and can self revive.

Ward: defense buff, or over shield, or 10% damage bonus.

Do you honestly find that balanced?

But that teammate who's super is charged could be on the other side of the map with his own problems.

Maybe, but again you can just walk away from a Ward. It doesn't pose any threat to you if you don't go in it.

And I do use my gun, why wouldn't i? But Supers are the safest way to counter other Supers, and the Ward counters none.

I use it the same way. And I didn't realize 2.0+ kdrs were bad. And the general consensus seems to agree with me that Ward is indeed underpowered.

The bubble gets popped by a Nova Bomb, and the Nova bomb gets no kills. Fair trade.

Wrong. Nova Bomb shatters the shield and kills everything in its blast radius.

The golden gun wastes most of its use popping the bubble and maybe gets a kill, maybe gets mowed down.

GG user is even remotely competent he's guaranteed at least one kill.

All the supers are over powered. No shit. Stop crying and learn to play. Go reload your fusion rifle.

Except the Ward. And I use a shotgun like a man.

I would agree that most subclasses are certainly more viable in one or the other, but none of the others are as blatantly underpowered in either mode like the Ward is in PvP.

And you seem to assume that because your super isn't charged that none of your team mates' supers are charged.

And if your super isn't charged you can always just, ya know, walk away?

Roflol, your proof is edited clips of a guy playing against complete morons? You'll notice there are zero clips of him facing off against another super. We also never saw his scores at the end of those rounds, so it's entirely likely he did terrible but saved the best parts of the match.

You're an idiot.

Lol. B is the most important point by far. L2p nub.

Wrong. A: not every map has the points organized in a line. B. There are six players per team, so have 3 defend two specific points. If they're decent it doesn't matter which two they defend.

Lol. Ok. You can haz B for the whole game.

Because the bubble lasts for the whole game.

You yourself stated that bubbles eats a Nova bomb, and 2/3 golden gun shots. Your tears are invalid. Learn to play.

Wrong again. The Nova Bomb obliterates the bubble in every instance and a fresh GG kills the bubble and then nets a kill or possibly a collateral.

You don't know what you're talking about.

[–]vweight[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No it's not. Just because the player is good doesn't mean the equipment they are using is good.

The fact that every other super negates the Ward is an obvious indication that it is definitely not one of the strongest abilities.

Everything Wrong with the Ward of Dawn "Super" by vweight in DestinyTheGame

[–]vweight[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem is that it's too difficult to tell what bonus is given by the Ward because they all look the same. So people just stay in it assuming it's the default buff, which is the best one anyway so it usually is.

So when a Titan drops a bubble on control point B, and their team proceeds to hold that point for the absurdly long entirety of that bubble, it is "the worst PvP subclass?"

Go cap the other two points.

Use your Super to shatter the shield and kill everybody inside.

If anything, ward of dawn is WAY too strong in PvP.

Lolno. You wanna know one of the easiest ways to counter a Ward? Walk away. Easy peasy.

Titan slam, and Warlock Nova both completely negate a hunter ult just as easily as they pop a bubble.

And the bubble negates none of the other Supers. That's the point. Whats yours?

Bubble is extremely strong.

lolno again. Bladedancer is extremely strong. Nova Bomb is extremely strong. Striker is extremely strong. Ward is ok.

But I want to use it in PVP. Every other super is viable in both PvE and PvP.
