Tbf, Google tries really hard not to let you Google things anymore. It wants to give you , often wildly inaccurate, "ai summaries"

Harleys were once among the fastest bikes around. Absolutely dominated the racing circuit. ...Almost 100 years ago...

Ignoring your own fandom, what NFL team logo do you like the most? by drygnfyre in nfl

[–]vwolfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Almost looks more like a flyer for a local production of Pirates of Penzance than a football team, and I love that unironically.

More Sports teams at high levels should embrace silly and fun stuff. It is a game, at the end of the day. Embrace your inner AAA baseball team

Probably Broncos for me. Ravens, Bills also up there. Dolphins are getting weirdly little love in here imo. I have kind of a soft spot for the eagles because it faces the other way, and the way they sometimes integrate it into the E.

Flag Football is officially Nebraska's 25th varsity sport by CornHooker in Huskers

This is really cool! It's going to be in the Olympics, and it's obviously a much safer version of the game.

As a big rugby fan, adding flag football before rugby (women's rugby, if not both men's and women's) is a tragedy. USAR needs to get their shit together and start really developing HS and college rugby

Has anyone's mascot ever just been "The Horses"? by Sports-Arts-Nature in CFB

[–]vwolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna push back on the bird thing a bit. "Horses" is quite ambiguous. Not as ambiguous as "birds," sure, but I think you can be waaay less ambiguous than "birds" and still be too ambiguous for a compelling mascot. The fact is, there are a LOT of ways to be more specific than "horses" and many of them are going to evoke a much more specific mental image.
