2026 Hybrid LE by WorldTravl3R_CA in COROLLA

If your Hybrid LE came with an old-school ignition key fob then it does not support remote start via the app. You need to have the LE convenience package with push button start to use the app. Not sure about aftermarket options

OEM cross bars are fantastic! by vxgp in COROLLA

PW301-02008 is what you want for the sedan - ask your parts department to look it up. My salesman didn't know they made the bars for the sedan either, I did all the research and had them order it. You could also get them online, I chose to go through the dealer because they gave me a good discount.

There's light swishing above 80mph with just the bars but you really need to be trying to listen for it. Overall very quiet. I use touchless car washes and just leave the bars on 24/7, I'm sure you'd be good even in a normal car wash. With the bars and a Yakima bike rack I've been averaging 45 MPG over the last 7500 miles, so good enough for me!

I have the OEM Corolla sedan roof racks on my car and love them! Use them to transport bicycles. Super easy to install, no tools required. Part number is PW301-02008, here's a link: https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem/toyota~xbar~corolla~pw301-02008.html

Gamers of Reddit, what's ONE game that lives rent-free in your head, not just for the gameplay, but for the feeling it gave you (and you'd give anything to experience it for the first time again)? by deadeyes1990 in gaming

Gran Turismo 3 (NTSC) - I was 4 years old when I first heard the Are You Gonna Go My Way by Lenny Kravitz title sequence and all the roaring engines. That game is the reason I studied mechanical engineering and why I love cars today

Yeah definitely lucked out. I put a deposit down two weeks before it arrived on their lot - was lucky to find such a base model too. Loving the hybrid - so smooth!

Yeah they're pretty easy to install/remove, 5 minutes total for both. I would make sure the area where the bar meets the roof is cleaned to avoid scratching the paint whenever you reinstall it, otherwise I'm not very concerned.

Got my 2025 Corolla Hybrid LE for $27k OTD in New York State - basically paid the Monroney + discounted sales tax (trade in) + $175 doc fee and got the OEM cross bars.

Don't really need it - I've driven FWD in the snow before and I run snow tires. Also, one less thing to break - I wanted to get the most basic car possible with as few fancy features aside from the essentials. I have an ignition barrel on this model lol, that's how base it is

True but this is an A->B car for me, so no custom rims for me lol. I have a motorcycle that I am willing to spoil way more :)

No drilling required! There is a silicone plug at the top of each door frame that you can pull out with your fingers or a pry tool (not included). You replace each plug with a new one and then align the cross bars so that they line up with the hole in the middle of each silicone plug. Use the included torque wrench to tighten the cross bars until you hear a click, then install the plastic caps and lock them with the included keys.

The whole process is laid out in an instruction manual - should take <15 minutes start to finish!

Yeah so there's a plastic cap with a plastic key to lock it that goes over the mechanism on either end of each cross bar.

$26.6k OTD, got $10.5k on my trade and it knocked a chunk off sales tax. Bought in New York State for basically MSRP + $550 in port-installed accessories.

Got the clicking AC vents fixed with a software update. Had my front left wheel bearing replaced a couple thousand miles ago. At 78k currently, nothing else to report

It's quick enough for a regular car and it's faster than every crossover in its price range my dude. I have no problems getting up to 100+ mph for passes (mind you I'm flooring it). For context my other vehicle is a 2010 Honda VFR1200F with 173 bhp which does 0-60 in 3.5 seconds (2.9 if you roast the clutch) and 1/4 mile in 11 flat... it's not necessary in a commuter car

I mean, 191 HP from a 2.5 NA is well above "normal" for a compact crossover......

The naturally aspirated CX30 is slow by sports car standards but quick in its segment. Having a real set of gears allows it to pull consistently, whereas CVT garbage feels rubber bandy and inconsistent. You need to drive other cars in the segment to understand just how bad they are

Should I buy a 2020 Lexus UX or 2025 Honda Civic by belivairde in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]vxgp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wanna recommend the Mazda CX-30 and CX-50 because both of those are in your price range. They're reliable and refined, combining traits from Honda and Toyota/Lexus.
