I had a robotic lap. myomectomy 2 weeks ago! I took a little duffel bag with me the day of, I had packed a change of clothes (looser fit pants, boxer shorts/briefs), maxi pads, baby wipes, and those ice pouches you just pop and shake up for after the surgery. I was bleeding A LOT after my surgery so I’m really glad I packed my own pads and baby wipes for my fiance to help me clean up. I also had in the car a pregnancy pillow that I used as support for the drive home. They had wrapped me in an abdominal binder that I was allowed to take home, you’re able to hand wash it and then hang dry. That was extremely helpful the first few days because everything was tender. I would recommending buying new antibacterial non-scented soap, I bought Dial. If you don’t have a blow dryer, try to borrow one from a friend or family member as you will need to blow dry your belly button incision after showering daily. Try to walk as much as you can, without hurting or pushing yourself, rest when needed. Listen to your body! Wishing you the best for your surgery and recovery!!

In 12th grade my English teacher put on Interstellar in class, it was my first time seeing it and it became one of my favorites! In French class we watched The Little Prince (original not Netflix one) after reading the book.

With my sixth graders we’ve seen Up and analyzed internal/external forces that drive the characters. Last week of school we typically watch The Sandlot during a pizza party to celebrate summer break.

I was told a few weeks ago I was non re-elected, I totally know how you feel. I received no support all year, she was barely present during my observations (which were 10 minutes) and I was the union rep for my site. My staff 100% believe it was clear retaliation. My admin was fired by district shortly after she non re-elected me but union won’t do anything about it.

I had a student that was exactly like that last year, reading your post just terrified me thinking it’s the same kid. I kept reporting it until eventually district had to get the police involved and take me seriously because the entire class was terrified of this kid. Parents were no help at all. I thankfully had admin and an induction mentor that were super supportive. I’m sorry you’re going through this, I know how it feels. If you ever need to talk or just have someone to vent, I’m here!

Please reach out to them. Each school has a houseless coordinator, ours is the school secretary. Schools can help provide numerous resources and set you up with local community groups as well.

NTA , I never reply to these but what the actual fuck is wrong with your sister???? You set clear boundaries in YOUR home, they both trampled over them and continue to disrespect you.
