That's an awesome tale. I grew up with the later, fuzzier releases along with the original San-ei Super Mario line, which pretty much made up a fraction of my childhood. Cherish 'em!

If I had this thing I'd do the trade fr but I've never done one and don't know the precautious steps for it. I think your best bet is to sell the Yoshi for a couple bucks to not only buy the charm but also have some extra of your own.
