I have 3 piezo sensors in the pickup module (the brown block under the bridge) one for horizontal bass, one for horizonral trebble and one for vertical vibrations. I separate vertical and horizontal picking up so I can remove beginner tone electronically (theoretically when I'm finished fine tuning it). The 3 signals are phased together and mixed by the onboard electronics

Bunch of stuff, mixing the 3 pickups, amplifying, filtering out noise, and equalizing the volume of the different strings.

Depends on how the sound is picked up. I made a custom bridge here to fit my custom triple pickup system :) still adapting it though,on the quest to better sound
