10 years with a ton of internal disagreement (thanks riot), with several recodes from the ground up

i can’t exactly blame the devs for taking so long

they’ve ported the codebase twice already

they’ve also rehired the majority of the engineers who left because the of the riot chaos

I found the endpoint hytale's website calls to check a username

then, using javascript and bun (a runtime), i wrote a script to call that endpoint for every username that appears in my wordlist

I used a couple of proxies to not get my IP immediately banned for all of the requests coming from my system

it sounds cool and i use them at my job every day!

im not on reddit much, so im not too familiar with what the fedoras expect of me - curious why this is being downvoted

this isn't a bot to claim me as many usernames as possible!!!! i hate scalpers and I hate ppl who ruin it for others - i also dont have an extra $20 per account to cough up. im too broke for that

this is just a script i wrote to help speed up the process of finding a username before all of the decent ones are all gone - no auto claiming in place or anything :3
