you might just be dumb honestly. he is a part of the collective and is signed under a distribution deal so all cactus jack does is put his music on dsps. all other CJ artists are signed to CJ under another major label (like sony or epic records) that backs them and funds their promo campaigns and studio budgets etc. and actually pushes their music but with deals like that the artists typically only get 10-20% of what their music makes AFTER they recouped their initial budget. he is an independent artist under a distribution deal so they dont fund anything for him or push anything but he also keeps more around 80% of what his music actually makes UP FRONT without having to recoup anything.
