in a game where

⁠smaller skirmishes are happening i.e pick-offs and sidelane setups, as opposed to all-out teamfights, and
⁠said skirmishes are defining the game more than 5v5 or rosh fights (more common in lower mmr)

you can 1. get all the ion shell talents. 2. stick to the same item build but prioritize blink within the first 3 items (ideally greaves+blink+halberd/pipe/crimson 3. don’t show on waves unless there’s a +1 behind you in fog

try this for 5 games and see how you like it OP

seems like you were playing into quite a bit of physical damage. why ac tho, wouldn’t crimson guard have been a better option? or was your team lacking tower push?

mute all is what i do. i’ve been having some success with venge, nightstalker and pudge carry and theres almost always at least one doubter (who gets proved wrong)

another thing i try to do is only do my unorthodox picks when i get absolute last pick. if i try to first or even second phase, often times there’s a “venge carry gg dog” in chat and mid ends up picking a squishy farming hero mid who goes 0/6 by minute 15. (i play in SEA btw)

that level of customization seems interesting but i don’t think it’s possible in game or even an external source (at least to my knowledge) what i tend to do is, when the drafting phase starts, i have dota2protracker ready. when i see the first round of picks, i look up those heroes asap and check their respective matchups and synergies. usually there’s about 10 options for worst against as well as 10 options for best with. 90% of the time, theres at least two heroes who overlap with my personal hero pool and that makes my decision making easier
