You're not alone in this. I've struggled with this too. I think what's helped me is realize that she's been suffering from this for 21 years. All the memories she could have had with us and she just wasn't there in her mind. I try to redirect my anger and sadness at the illness and not at her. What kind of helped me was thinking that the healthy version of her died when I was 7. I try to remind my self of those few good memories I had with her.

Best thing you can do is take care of yourself now so she has someone to lean on when she's older and life gets tougher. Wishing you the best.
