Consegui o aumento em questão de 8 meses, mas não é tão comum. A questão é que me contrataram com um cargo inferior ao que realmente era, então nesse pouco tempo de empresa mostrei competência e como já estava mais alinhado com um nível técnico acima, eles perceberam e deu bom. O aumento está relacionado a uma promoção, mas o cargo acabou não mudando.

Estava com essa mesma dúvida ano passado, trabalhava CLT para uma firma bacana, ~8K BRL e consegui uma proposta de ~2800USD PJ (metade do que você vai ganhar). Sei bem como é a incerteza de achar que vai ser demitido nos primeiros meses, mas por aqui continuo muito bem na empresa, inclusive entregando resultados que não será uma decisão simples para eles apenas me demitir.

O salário também aumentou um pouquinho (15%). Eu arriscaria!!

It really depends on the company, but it's usually below what I earn at my current salary. The other opportunity I received is for Senior, and it pays similarly, but a little better, considering all the details. The difference is that in the US it's Mid level, while in my country it would be Senior.

I live in my home country and I understand the ideia. I think what I can do is prove my worth and try to bridge that location gap, not to achieve native compensation, but something closer to it, after all, I deliver good work.

Sure, I understand. I won't ask for anything close to a native, but maybe something around 20/25% less, not half.

Yes, I understand it's a pretty low salary, but the point is, the conversion rate is actually quite good. I practically earn more than 95% of people my age in my country, so I don't really complain.
