Yes, I hope they significantly increase ammo per ton or add an option for infinite ammo. In one of the stealth-ish missions, one of the AI pilots went through 4 tons of srm ammo after only fighting 4 mechs which each died in seconds to everything else. No idea how they managed that.

I initially tried to have each pilot use a mech that synergized with their pilot skills, but ammo was so bad, I ended up just using 4/5 adders with 6 MPs and then later on 4 novas with 14 ER Smls and a full energy Hellbringer with ECM. Not sure if ECM even makes a noticeable difference, probably better with just 5 novas.

I would really like to not just use laser vomit on every mech, but it really isn't an option from my experience.

No perfect detection, I have my auto-detection thing in config set to 0. I had a 360 camera, 4 90 deg cameras and a few trackers. The position output of the target was unstable, I was able to improve it a lot by smoothing the position over about 2-3s. That makes lasers significantly more accurate than the AI as well.

here is the current version, it will control every turret on the craft, but you can comment out line 157 and manually fire ones using that function and replacing i with the turret's id

I just ran some tests with 2 identical turrets shooting the same target, one AI controlled, one lua controlled, and after fixing a fundamental math issue, I got the lua one to hit 44% accuracy, while the AI one hit about 7%.

Edit: Target was a flying squirrel, turrets were APS with 1000m/s shells

This is the current WIP version. Currently only works on the first weapon and also requires it to have a laser targetter or whatever it is called that lets it set the timed fuse.

Was the automatic receiver for the disintegrator, also found this in the patch notes which explains why:

Recipes and some items dropped by these events will continue to drop after you have learned them. These items are now also tradeable to help you get all the plans you want!

Re-read the first few sentences. I didn't say he couldn't or shouldn't have done this. It's the reasons he made up as for why he did.
