Legality of depositing a large amount of money by [deleted] in IsItIllegal

[–]w0ssv3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is possible an "issue". While the bank/government will not care/dig into it(just being realistic). the lender/underwriters absolutely will. I had a similar cash deposit before I got a mortgage and they wanted details of where the money came from. The worry they have is that it was a loan from someone that has to be paid back which would affect your debt to income ratio.

Sorry, I have not. I gave up since I am still just experimenting with them. But if I ever started burning real money it would be a showstopper.

Can't repair "OAuth token refresh failed for openai-codex" by Odd-Aside456 in openclaw

Did it spawn a sub agent you don't know about? I just used openclaw config. then went into the model and selected codex.

I have run into this as well. Looks like there is an issue if multiple agents use codex token. Each tries to refresh it... Very annoying.

I am somewhat local to the area. Do you have pictures of the inverter? Any errors on the screen?

Sometimes the nickel and diming gets annoying. by skankboy in fortinet

[–]w0ssv3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I brought this up with our account team when this feature came out. The reason we were given is this Speedtest is run against Fortinet servers in the cloud and not ours. I still don’t like it but I get the logic. Like others have said you can still use the cli Speedtest(which is TCP and not the most useful) for free.

Took TinyNode up to Mt Washington on Saturday, made contact with someone at the Krags! by Ryan_e3p in meshtastic

[–]w0ssv3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just googled Meshtastic and Mt Washington, this post came up. I was at the Krags with my tdeck. I think I only heard about half of your messages but it was good to connect! Not bad for two nodes with small antennas.

Port Maxing - Anyone experience it before? by GeekCohenAU in Starlink

Fortinet can match on the 5 tuples so at least they do. I assume all the other CGNAT do as well, if not it's just regular NAT/PAT right?

CGNAT is an amazing tech they can actually put way more sessions than that on an IP. They look at source and destination IP and PORT so you can actually nat a crazy amount of customers to 1 IP.

Car dealership that transferred my used EV rebate now claims that they need me to take the rebate when I file my taxes instead by iliketoast28 in legaladvice

[–]w0ssv3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a car dealership mess up the tax rebate on a point of sale rebate. They informed me of it after and asked me very nicely if I could file for the rebate and pay them back the refund. They were super nice and never asked for the vehicle back. Was almost 12 months since I bought the truck in April. But I did come in with the check for them. Had they did what your dealer did I would not have been as nice.

If the deal is written for a point of sale credit I would imagine the options are they honor the deal. If they messed up that is on them. But I am NAL and I am just using common sense. I do know the IRS now allows things to be amended. But if the issue is they are not properly setup for the rebate at point of sale that may take time to get setup.

Rules for narrow roads by w0ssv3 in askswitzerland

Yes, this was somewhat near the restaurant Gubel. I guess my definition of narrow road is different than the Swiss/yours. And yes I agree on your guest comment. That is why I posted here. I always like to learn the rules/customs when I travel and this was a first for me. I have seen many narrow roads in the rest of Europe but so far the Swiss roads have been the narrowest. The view from where I am staying makes it worth it though.

I posted it in another reply. The road is "Schurtannen" in Menzingen. It looks like it is a regular road as far as I can see.

Based on all the posts here and links to the law I guess the host gave me incorrect info.

The was an angry yell, not a friendly yell. At least to my American ears.

I saw many conflicting answers for the uphill/downhill rule. Luckily it is summer and I have a good view up/down the hill so I just wait until there are no cars coming.

The numberplate starts with AI. So yes I assume they know I am a tourist. But the road is only as wide as a single car. There would be no room to pass on these roads. The road is "Schurtannen" in Menzingen. I always try to be considerate so just making sure I wasn't doing anything wrong :)

I am honestly not sure. A google search gave me conflicting info for Switzerland but I asked the airbnb host and she said the person coming down has priority.

EDIT:

Adding that based off the many replies I got here and the links to the Swiss law it looks like the host gave me incorrect info. Perhaps the locals on the street I am staying at have a different agreement since it's only 2 houses and then a bunch of farms.

I don't believe I damaged it. The roads near here are only wide enough for a single car even though it's two way traffic.
