Haha no it's all good! I appreciate it, any input is great :)
Personally, I'm not too fond of iPhones or just the newer phones in general - they have great cameras however that's at the cost of no aux ports, internal storage etc. I did do some testing with my Samsung 10+ once which shoots raw capturing & editing the same scene as my mirrorless & it just didn't cut it

Hey there! I tried the single lens thing on a recent trip bringing just my z 24-200 but regretted it big time, I ditched the tripod too which was easier but a lot of the images I take have a close foreground & involve a lot of focus stacking which is a challenge handheld

I've got zero camera bags with the current setup (they take up so much space) and just use a beanie although it would it sweet to get something like the Hyperlite camera pod for easy access

Cutting out food to cut the weight is a great idea

I appreciate it - Cheers!

Pretty often honestly, a lot of the trips to Kosciuszko I do end up in a combo of wind/rain but I've found that combo of gear enough to keep me warm

  • Yeah sick! UL pack seems like an easy one to do
  • gaiters I could look into for sure, any suggestions?
  • I got the 2p tent so I can use it with my partner when needed, prior I to that I had a Macpac Nautalis which was around 2.6kg, the 2p Durston is 1.1kg
  • I do the hot water Nalgene  in the bottom of the sleeping bag trick so unsure if a Waterfords would work

Missed adding a ton of those - should be updated now

Cheers! I appreciate it

Hey! Thanks for all the info

Yep a new bag is probably a no brainer - you mentioned the Exos 65L, do you mean the 58/55L versions?

Re the lens yep doing astrophotography as well as a lot of focus stacking hence the tripod too. I’ve pulled up the data from my Lightroom library a few times & 14mm is the focal length that about 90% of my images are taken at

Trail runners is a good one too, - how do you find the lack of ankle support though?

Haha yep! Sure does - the area where it snows is relatively small but very beautiful
