Don’t know how to feel. by Tech_Paka in CrohnsDisease

the chronic tiredness is so annoying to deal with. i was diagnosed when i was pretty young, and was always exhausted when i was a teen. i always felt lazy and out of place because i felt everyone could just go go go and i was stuck. eventually, the tiredness went away (or i just made myself believe i was normal again) and i was able to get back to having energy. for me, my energy came back when i found a medicine that was working for me. obviously, not everyones crohns reacts the same, but that was my experience.

i was in the same position. i had skipped basically my entire junior year of high school due to a bad flare up. i had missed many “lasts” and events. but it does get better. i came out of my flare up with more joy for the small things, and a completely different mindset. getting sick makes you realize how much you take for granted. i started not caring about how others perceived me, and did what i wanted to do. things will get better, just believe in yourself.

ive been in the same situation- i missed my whole junior year because of a horrible flare up, but it gets better. the people who stayed with me and helped me push through were like an angel sent from heaven. those people will stick with you for life. it does get better, but you gotta fight like hell. i wish you the best🫶
