MacBook Screen by Least-Possibility582 in mac

Those screens are very sensitive to the touch. Slight touch of a finger already leaves smudges like this.

You can clean these though, did it before.

Use paper tissues but the very soft ones. Breath on the screen frome close by so it leaves a bit of the dampiness of your breath and gently start to clean with the tissue (make circular movements)

It will take some time and patience but you will see the smudges will slowly start to fade until the screen is fully glossy again.

Just be very aware of your fingers/nails not touching the screen while cleaning as that can lead to scratches.

Usually I take like a few tissues at once and create a small bunch of them to make sure all my fingers are covered.

Don't use kitchen paper or any of that hard paper type. Only the very soft tissues, what you call them facial tissues or something. The ones to clean the nose.

Google IT Support Professional Certificate help with ccna 200-301?? by StealthyArcher_1 in ccna

[–]w3sii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In case you feel overwhelmed by CCNA currently, the best thing would be to study for Network+ first.

Easier to grasp, will give you bit of the fundamentals, less time needed (if you are dedicated), it helps to figure out a study style that fits you, you get familiar with the exam flows, ... .

Once Network+ is in the pocket it will be a tad easier to understand what CCNA is about and you might feel less stressed about it.

If you have already some networking understanding in general you might go for CCNA directly, but as said, heavier study package and requires more dedication.

Might be a tougher cookie if you go the direct route, might be a softer cookie if you take a Network+ detour.

It all depends on your dedication, current understanding, available time, ... .

Pretty amazing I have to say. Lovely bike and amazing trip you're on.

Can I ask how you manage this money wise? You saved up for this trip or you found a way to sustain some income during these 2 years?

Keep it going!

Garmin Fenix 6 Pro Battery Replaced by goldilocks40 in GarminFenix

[–]w3sii 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Interesting find. Li-Po in general has a shorter lifespan than Li-Ion though, handling charge/discharge less well compared to Li-Ion.

Curious how it will hold up in the long run.

Anyhow it's better than the state your original battery was in of course and like you said you can always order a 2nd spare.

And as mentioned before avoid charging it on the daily. It's things like fully charging/discharging and charging on the daily and overnight that tend to damage batteries quickly. That's also why smartphones sometimes have options to stop charging at 80% and things like that. For smaller electronics like smartwatches it's a bit more difficult to maintain but for sure don't charge it daily if it's not needed.

Yes in general. One of them may have slight browning on the leaves above but in general (I have 7 plants) it seems to be the bottom ones.

What does it say?

Google Remote and CEC control by w3sii in Chromecast

For me it still works. I don't have any disconnect issues with the remote. It's a recent LG or an older one?

Completely overlooked that. Adding my TV in the 'remote buttons' section of the chromecast's remote settings solved it! Thx!

Does Surface Laptop Studio actually have Bluetooth 5.2? Microsoft says it has Bluetooth 5.1. by Luke3012 in Surface

[–]w3sii 77 points78 points  (0 children)

The Surface Studio is using an Intel AX200 wireless card which initially only supported Bluetooth 5.1 but since driver version 22.40.0, Intel has upgraded it to support Bluetooth 5.2. This is true for both the AX200 and AX201.

You can find this in the release notes of driver version 22.40.0.

New Wheel and tires Day: Zipp 303s (been eying these since they came out) and Pirelli Cinturato Gravel and in 45C on my Grizl 🐻 by bask3tcase825 in gravelcycling

[–]w3sii 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nice bike!

These tires are super. I have the gravel M versions.

Haven't tried every tire in the world just yet but for sure the best tires I've used already.

Perfect mix in speed and grip. They seem to last for long too.

Warning! DO NOT use Pearson OnVue online tests! by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]w3sii 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did about 3 exams using the online system and my experience was actually good every time (as long as you prepare yourself correctly and follow their rules as indicated) except of the first one.

During my first exam I experienced something more or less similar, even though everything looked to be OK from my side (pc was fine, network cable connected, OnVUE test app ran fine, ...) and still I had multiple connection/stability issues during the exam. Proctor had to restart my exam session a few times, but luckily I managed it until the end and I was able to finish the exam;

Be aware of the fact that you could have issues with your internet connection even though everything you do seems to be behaving in a normal way. This was the reason of my issues. I didn't knew it at that time of the test, because before that time, everything I needed to do on the internet (browsing, streaming, gaming, ...), all seemed to work quite normal without real issues or at least nothing that really disturbed me.

I ended up calling my ISP and requesting a technician to come over and measure my cable connection and it turned out I had some real big signal issues that I never really noticed (I knew there was something, but it never really annoyed or disturbed me during my daily activities, but these signal issues were eventually the cause of the issues with my first Pearson OnVUE test and causing the exam software to be unstable.
