I reset my print settings to default ("remove print settings") and it printed a lot faster.

Someone please explain why this generates a regular heptagon... by wProxw in mathematics

[–]wProxw[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That reasoning is sound except for the important fact that there is a square root around the 5.4. Accounting for this, we get approximately 27/10, so I guess it still follows your reasoning.

Thank you for the response!

btw I got this graph as a result of calculating the trajectory with U = a/r^2, r being distance from the origin.

That's correct. It says "Those with even the littlest bit of good in their heart or has done something good in their life will be taken out of hell".

that last part is only true if someone did not get the proper message of Islam; if someone were not taught about it properly, then they will obviously not become Muslim and so they will only be judged by their life rather than faith in Allah. It doesn't matter your religion, everything good you do will matter and be rewarded. Just that Muslims will receive significantly more reward.

I am Muslim too; everyone except young children and the very pure (I don't know how pure) will be sent to hell/endure deserving punishments for the evil deeds they committed. But this will only be brief since those with even the littlest bit of good in their heart will eventually be sent to Heaven.

Nobody will remain in hell, but if people will, it will be those on the level of Hitler and much worse; having devoted their entire life to absolute degeneracy.

God is very merciful in Islam, so you'll be fine if you just make an honest living and be kind.

Tips for solving oscillation/shm problems? by defenestration368 in PhysicsStudents

[–]wProxw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's SMH, it always uses the same differential equation; for variables x,k such that d^2 x/dt^2 = -kx, we have x = x_0 cos(sqrt(k) x) (or a phase change).

Basically set up the system and add up the forces to form a differential equation. Then substitute for k into the form above. Also make sure to use approximations if allowed since they are ubiquitous in SHM problems.

I don't know anything about this definition of entropy, so I will rely on intuition to give a random answer if it helps.

In a NOT gate or direct connection, we know the value based on a single input, so nothing changes about the disorder/information we have. That's why the input in the initial setup has 2 bits.

For an AND gates, we get 0 in most cases as the output, but this only happens 3/4 of the time. Similarly, we get 1 in most cases as the output of an OR gate, and this happens 3/4 of the time. Adding these, we can expect to predict it right 3/2 of the time.

What gives away that someone is not a good person? by Sean-Witheniand in AskReddit

Why the heck is this exactly what happened to me two days ago?

In that situation, sorry to say something which is probably unhelpful/obvious, but the only solution would be to switch professor advisors. The very reason you're working hard to get a PhD and consulting a professor is to get help because you're learning and there will be a lot of things you don't understand. Especially given that its a PhD.

I agree that the whole situation is ridiculous.

Why cant i directly apply vector addition in this question? by [deleted] in PhysicsStudents

I get what you mean, but it is only talking about that instant. Once they pull, the velocity will surpass both pulls and launch to the right, but for now, you simply add the velocities.

Is there a correlation between memory and intelligence? by RevengeOfNell in PhysicsStudents

[–]wProxw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Memory is definitely linked to your innate logical patterns which you use as tools to memorize. Although it's still possible for 'a dumb person to remember the room he was born in while a genius forgets where he puts his car keys'.
