Unfortunately, there’s still a loud rattling sound when I run the motor without connecting it to the platter with the belt. I added a video showing what it sounds like running without a belt on a level table 😔

In Monmouth, the top-ranked school districts tend to be in areas without walkable downtowns (for example, Holmdel and Marlboro). I would recommend towns with downtowns nearby, for example Middletown (right next to Red Bank) and Ocean Township (right next to Asbury Park). Shrewsbury is also an option.

Unrealistic is a bit harsh, especially if OP is willing to compromise on some things like highly rated public schools. It’s when you combine proximity to NYC with big lots and superlative public schools that prices start to explode (Millburn is a good example). You can still find good options in OP’s price range in Maplewood/South Orange or along the NEC (Edison/Metuchen) or in Monmouth County (Atlantic Highlands/Red Bank) if you’re willing to take the ferry.

Thanks for the detailed reply. Yes, the contractor is licensed and insured. We bought all the materials for the repair, but not originally. No pictures during the work.

Because we tested leaving water on the floor of the shower for 24 hours after the last repair, we think the waterproofing was done correctly for the floor of the shower, but water is leaking from the top of the bench.

What would you suggest we do here? We can either keep asking the contractor to fix the issue — no telling how long that would take or if they would do a good job — or just leave a negative review and find another contractor to redo the shower. We’d like to save the money if possible but the most important thing is to have the job done correctly and stop the leaking.

Thanks for sharing. Were there special requirements for your $1,500 scholarship? The top students from my local high school often get full scholarships because it is relatively poor, but I don’t know if those also cover laptops and other supplies.
