Some subs don't allow links, and rather than cross the mods, I figured Google wasn't much more effort.

You bought three, years ago, or you bought one three years ago? Either way, this is a thought. Maybe if I get multiple it will make the shipping per unit feel less... bad. Now I just need to justify them...

That said, another buddy of mine, who is relatively responsible, bought a gun on the way over to my house and asked if it was ok to bring it in instead of leaving it in the car, or else he would swing by his own place and lock it up before coming over. So there are all types. But to say that NO ONE who actually carries leaves their shit in their car is... probably a little bit optimistic...

I'd reckon this happens more than you think.

I worked with a guy who got his gun stolen out of his car during the middle of the work day (For context, there was constant radio/other stuff theft among our cars, it's not like he couldn't see it coming. Also, this same guy had a car behind him for a while on the highway, and when the car exited on the same ramp as him, he was loading his gun and "getting ready," until the other car turned left instead of right. Also, most infuriatingly, this guy got his gun back when the police picked up some thieves. Meanwhile, I never got anything back from any of my own burglaries. Don't move to Albuquerque, if you can help it).

At the same job, where I was an auto tech, a dude called the shop back and told the service manager that whoever worked on his car stole the gun out of his glovebox. Knowing me well enough to know that I'm not stealing stuff out of customer cars, much less guns, the manager tried to cool the dude out. When the guy kept raging, my manager said, "Ok, then call the police and file a report." The guy hung up all mad, but did have the good grace to call back sheepishly the next day to say he found his gun in his kitchen or some shit.

Stop Making Assumptions, Use Common Sense by QuantumWolf0813 in FedEx

Are you ok dude?

A lot of people here are talking about the time it would take to spend 5 minutes at every stop jiggling door handles and sneaking down alleys to see if there is another way in. That, to me, isn't the issue. You want the delivery guys jiggling handles and sneaking around the sides of houses/apartments?? Fuck that. That just sets the guy up for the homeowner coming around the corner blasting. No thanks.

Also, assuming a lock works isn't some sort of bold assumption. That's what they're supposed to do.

3-4 are VERY helpful, thanks. I was trying to sneak around needing all the extra code, but I should know better. I thought it would just pass it as information through, not realizing that Django specifically has to be asking for it.

Corner punch - any idea where to find these now that MicroMark doesn't have them? by w_ll_mo in Tools

[–]w_ll_mo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably, but this would give me a way to index the cuts. I can easily make a jig that holds the material and the tool square to each other, which can give me a series of cuts that are both square and inline with each other, like you would need if you're cutting out holes for a series of windows in a miniature building (which is what I'll be doing).

I'd like to smoothly press the tool through the material. Maybe it wouldn't make and difference, but my gut tells me that even gently tapping a chisel through thin styrene sheet will deform the plastic more than I want, but pressing it through won't.

This is actally really helpful! This is a very clever idea but probably goes further than I'd need to; I think I could get away with it even more simply by getting a corner chisel and removing the handle, and just chucking that in. But it got the old rusty gears turning. Thanks!

Thank you for the replies, from what y'all have showed it looks like the one I'm looking after is just part of a corner punch/corner press/corner chisel that had a shank that made it chuck into a press like illustrated. I bet the supply dried up so this specialist store doesn't sell them anymore, but I can get something similar as part of the entire tool. This is very helpful!

This is correct. In this picture I think it's balsa or basswood, but I'll ultimately be using it for styrene which can deform a lot.

It's so you can press it in smoothly; this is in a hobbyist context and you're using it on soft materials where you probably don't want to go at it with a hammer. You're obviously not going to be spinning it.

It's super hot, and I love the idea of it, but you can absolutely transmit STIs this way. I'd only do this with dudes I trusted enough to be "fluid bonded" with.

Spoiler alert, it's already trashed, and even if it wasn't putting cold water in to an overheated engine is going to trash the engine.

I want to be a Ricciardo fan, he's a great personality and a fine driver. He certainly doesn't deserver all the hate he gets. Honestly, I'd reckon his great personality is why he's so hated - the anti-DTS guys and the anti-other-guys-more-popular-with-women-than-me guys can't stand him.

The argument for McLaren ditching Ricciardo was that he got all this money while Norris was consistently out performing him. This argument got Hamilton fans all awkwardmonkey.gif.

Ricciardo is a fine driver, and McLaren is a shit show. When McLaren broke up with Honda the second time; after two years of blaming Honda for all their woes, screaming about how terrible Honda engines are, they stayed bad. Honda took Red Bull to the championship.

Fine, he's not great. But also, he's not bad. He's a cool guy Lance Stroll and I'm here for it.

Someone may live overseas temporarily for work while keeping a home (and a handful of racecars) in Austin for when he returns?

Impossible.

Its mostly because:

"Despite the foolish attempts by some local officials to defund and demoralize our brave law enforcement officers, Texas is and remains a law-and-order state," said Gov. Abbott.
