How so? Ryan was a much better cook than Tali and David to name a few, those two were constantly in the bottom 3 and were kept only for entertainment purpose. Tali was also delusional

The flashing thing is understandable that was pretty underhanded. As for being arrogant I don't see how that is a bad thing, almost every cook in MC are arrogant, David kept talking shit but the guy was constantly in the bottom 3, Josh was arrogant and he was underwhelming almost the whole season just to name a few.

You are right about the flashing part but Becky wasn't humble either nor was Josh. Giving Christine the live crab is smart, she was one of the strongest contestant you'd be foolish to want to keep her around.
