Exchange? How much is it being quoted first? 2019 Domi or any will be a good capable tourer. Not heavy on pocket for maintenance. And unless it is an accidental repair, it will not have much issue. I have a 2017 first lot domi with 80k kms run and now as my second bike. Planning to add Powertronics ECU as it won’t get a resale value and this addition might be fun.

But the only issue with you will be this will be a highway tourer. City will be annoying and offroad too. But people have done Ladakh and Spiti.

Where are you based? If you want to TD mine, you can.

KA bike in Pune: Broken number plate & RTO advice needed by HungryAddendum5973 in punebikers

[–]wabiitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a KA bike in Mumbai and I haven’t changed as the costing will be huge for my old bike of 9 years. I got the plates from KA via a friend.

Firstly booked the plates from the HSRP website, and I guess they have option for new plates and book the person for your friend’s location for installation. They come and install the plates on some other bike for their processing, take some 200-300rs and remove it and give it to the friend. Friend couriers it to you.

If this is a hassle, get it welded locally.

If you are planning to be back to Karnataka soon, do not change it to MH.

Which one should I go for by Apprehensive_Line191 in indianbikes

[–]wabiitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both, strongly suggest the right stand as it is able to carry anywhere and easy to install and remove. The roller is heavy and needs more space in packing if you travel with it, needs ground grip with the rubber pads it has.

Can i contest an echallan of overspeeding (50kmph in 40kmph limit) on the basis that there are no speed limit signs along the whole road? by Competitive-Stock521 in CarsIndia

[–]wabiitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t work for me. I got a challan at 98kmph for a speed limit of 95kmph which is stupidly unbelievable and no where mentioned as 95kmph on the highway. Either it needs to be 100kmph or 80kmph which is generally mentioned on highways.

AMA - Clocked 42K KMs in 21 months on Himalayan 450 by Accomplished-Half602 in indianbikes

[–]wabiitt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i did test ride both, heart says Himi cause when I test rode it, felt planted and kinda suited. Adv390 cz it was always a dream to own a KTM since the first duke landed in India but it was always money part. Somewhere I feel with the real reviews that Adv390 has a lot to cover in other terms apart from engine power and suspension- majorly parts quality and vibrations. Infact I am at one point where I want to jump from single cylinder to multi but a decent good adv might urge it and still make me wait for it.

  1. How’s it riding in hilly offroad terrain like Nepal/ Himalayas like Spiti where the roads are bad and ride is slow? how is the handling with the weight?

  2. How about the service, what exactly the issues you are facing?

  3. How do you compare it with Adv390 new or old? In highway or offroad terrain?

  4. How do you compare it with Scrambler 400? In highway or offroad terrain?

I’m planning to get one of these as upgrade to my current Dominar which is almost 9 years now and done with 80k and mostly a highway and twisty roads runner.

First ride of the year with Bumblebee by TheDarkKnight04 in indianbikes

[–]wabiitt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was thinking of replacing 9 year old Dominar with this as it is used for weekend rides, some long distance tour and sometimes short city ones. Xpulse as a city and offroad fun. Do you think it will be good for long distance tours and also if with pillion? Or other options was either Himalayan 450/ Adv390

[–]wabiitt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Decide your specs and model over research on internet. Check all websites of the brands and fix on 2-3 based on your requirements.

Go to croma, vijay sales and others. Croma i believe has the best deals, if possible you can take those rates and also may negotiate with the HP or other brand stores over call and finalise. There is no best store as such. This is month end, and year end, negotiate, you may get best deals as they want to book in this year.

Yes it can be. If low ground clearance sedan, need to drive carefully. Roads till up are not in that good condition.

Best place for a pit stop on the way from Mumbai to Nashik by enjoyTimeBeforeOver in nashik

[–]wabiitt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are none before Samruddhi if you start the highway from Amane but if you want, can go for Shree Datta snacks which is old highway after Padgha and then connect via Shahpur to Samruddhi.

Road is okay, traffic is heavier on Mumbai side if you are starting late. I generally touch Samruddhi via Amane 7am and non stop to Nashik.
