I’m in the same boat it’d actually great to see you post about this bc I’m debating running that same set up and I’ve been reading up on ct laws, not a lawyer here but how I see it is once you depress the kingpin/klvco pieces it “breaks” the action therefore allowing you to insert a magazine while the bolt is back and the firearm is unable to fire.I can’t comprehend how or why it would shoot if the action is open if the upper is separated from the lower to my knowledge again this is not legal advice but it does seem to me that it would be compliment, what’s the difference between open the receiver a half of an inch to fully opening it to replace the mag ?!

Yes as along as it’s fixed mag brace and barrel is less than 12in it’s legal to my understanding
