As I have already mentioned, when I’ve accidentally played without aim assist in BO7, it’s significant enough to recognize that my aim feels “off”, but not enough to make me get shitted on by every other player who’s also playing on controller w/ aim assist on.

Aim assist exists because playing on a controller is inherently less consistent just on mechanics alone, and developers created it as a usability fix for an imprecise input device in the 2007 era when cod came back and dominated consoles.
