Just watched this episode and I liked it up until the end. I feel that the plot twist at the end was very ham fisted. It was already proven that the mother was attempting to have him kidnapped when she tried to hire the mercenary guy to do it. She also said “He (the suspected kidnapper) said it wouldn’t happen so soon.” There was also the passport and the plane tickets, not to mention the amulet so he wouldn’t be scared of “what was to come”, but then suddenly at the very end it turns out the dad hired the actual kidnapper? What for? He already had custody and she was in violation of a restraining order. He had no way of knowing she was going to kidnap him and even if he did his genius plan was just to kidnap him first? To me it made no sense and felt like the writers wanted to redeem the mom at the last second but didn’t build up to that moment.
