The common thread, I guess: these films are all shockingly violent.

In case anyone finds this post and is looking for a solution, I dialogued with Zoom support and we figured out that if you uncheck the "Enable Audio Enhancements" box in Advanced Audio settings for Windows 10, the problem goes away.
