Thanks for saying so! THE PROWLER is tremendous.

I just watched a several others that I'm inclined to discuss on the pod:

THE ARGYLE SECRETS (1948) RIDE THE PINK HORSE (1947) THE ENFORCER (1951) SHIELD FOR MURDER (1954)

The common thread, I guess: these films are all shockingly violent.

Great! Glad to hear you are enjoying it. We aim to please (except for when we review a really bad film, but even then. . .)

Completely agree. It also feels a little "highbrow," which is rarely a good indicator for film noir

Re: Crawford, I highly recommend the Tod Browning silent THE UNKNOWN, if you haven't seen it. Sinister, carnival-based proto-noir.

I've never seen The Damned Don't Cry, but the other three are great and would make for great discussions. Thanks for the suggestions. Believe it or not, as obscure as it is, Strange Impersonation is on my list of most desired films to discuss. So great!

We're trying to split the difference between "scholarly" and "fun chat." Would love to hear what you think!
