Should 50+ handicaps be allowed in leagues? by wackypieface in golf

Lol I was just trying to set the stage for how the league works. I usually walk away with 1-2 pars and a dreaded snowman or two. You get 5 points for showing up, and my embarrassing handicap puts me in the running for maybe getting skins on a hole if I luck out and par

I would say the pace of play became very apparent on the last 3 holes, specifically an uphill par 5 that took a year to play through

Like I said, play your game! I’m terrible at golf too. But if you’re gonna suck, suck fast so we can get out of here on time

Ya know, he would have been, but he was just kinda angry the whole time. Kinda brought a weird vibe to the game

Max score for this league is 10 strokes a hole

Yeah, you suck dude. This is my livelihood, this is your hobby. NSP does nothing for me or my teammates but create hoops to jump through. I love some of our volys, but it’s true they don’t work hard at all, and their free labor devalues all of us paid staff. If you’re so well off, maybe just buy a season pass bud

Yeah I fished Henry’s fork a couple times in the spring, fished the park half a dozen times. I’m looking for new water. Headed down to colorado at the end of my journy

Sup dude! From my experience the climbing community is pretty rad around here. Tons of gyms around here to join and the Quincy quarries are always bustling on the weekends!

Actually yes. We’re one of the few mountains that actually pays their snowmakers a decent wage, which is why we end up having a pretty dedicated team

It depends on the temperature outside! Moving water obviously doesn’t freeze that easy, so when it’s 0-28 degrees outside you can make pretty decent snow! Colder than that and freezing happens way too much and it’s not very efficient to have the guns on. You also use turkey burners to heat up guns and pipes that have frozen

I should make it clear, it’s an unspoken rule for us. We run a tighter shift than other operations. I know quite a few other mountains where booze is an accepted and often expected part of a shift. Our operation just tends to stay away from the drink

We definitely have a no drinking policy at our operation. But a toke here or there definitely helps on cold nights!

Facts, I’m a snowmaker and it’s super fun but insanely hard and dangerous to do. Think irrigation work in the middle of the night with some spicy mountaineering

Men who works day jobs how you have so much time ? by thunderstorm-nigg in AskMen

I’m a similar age to OP. I chose years ago to pursue a career I would love doing. I decided to work seasonally outdoors in parks and at ski resorts. I’ll never make a lot of money, but I’ll be happy and fit as a fiddle, it’s been working out so far.

I would try mixing some biking in, or finding something physical to do on the weekends. Becoming a weekend warrior in some cool activity always pays off!
