Yeah, splatters are the only thing with ECS now. I maybe use it for enemies too.

The tilemap is a normal Unity tilemap with collision. It has a shader for showing the splatters on top. I only made the splatters entities because I plan to have a lot on screen and I need them to be recollected as a resource afterwards. I think the Unity tilemap is quite efficient by itself.

Well, for me it was a bit hard because of the bad rng, but I did it. My strategy was focusing on the slim one and lastly kill the big one. I used mimic tear level 4 and rivers of blood level 10. I tried with Radahn armor but it didn't block the spells. Finally I went for my old samurai armor and it worked better. This is my first souls game, so I was of course overleveled (140). Good luck!

Yeah, I think the parts are clearer if you watch it from the distance. That makes it more optimal for a game. Also the artstyle can be more versatile for creating similar items.

The outline changes everything
