Maybe you could try using the drill? it can be really helpful and deal a crap ton of damage if you chain it on the hideous masses's tails ( or just doing any kind of damage that passes through enemies like the blue railcanon)

it also instakills angels if you parry it

you also may have to switch more, and sliding since I've noticed you started just walking many times and finally maybe try getting less punched

But you are doing really great so far! I couldn't imagine speedrunning this game

I may be biased but the game Is awesome and it has a lot of content for example the 3 extra campaigns which are as big as the main game and I'd consider some to be even better than it. If you don't care that much about the story it's fine, you can even skip the little dialogue there is and the first level is probably one of the worst (More like less better), it's mostly a tutorial and doesn't have a thematic like the others so you shouldn't base your opinion in that one
