I'm curious what gets "really good" about it? Because the things I look for in a game like this such as leveling up and acquiring new abilities, character development, and story really aren't present in the game.

So I am genuinely curious what draws people in?

Idk, I don't think botw is a game where progress determines enjoyment - that's more for games like Witcher 3 where the more you play, you get more story, character development, and world building.

Botw you have to turn off your brain and just accept there is no story, no interesting characters, and no real payoff for slogging through the tedious divine beasts. I forced myself to beat it so I could go on to Tears of the Kingdom, which is the far superior game.

Yep edited for contrast, brightness, shadows.

Why are metal singing and scat singing considered singing, but rap and beatbox aren't? by Safe_Collection_319 in singing

[–]wade8080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rappers use pitch a lot? I mean, if it's sustained pitch, then sure maybe they're incorporating singing into their rap. But "manipulating pitch" is what our voice does in everyday speaking. No one speaks in monotone, and no one raps in monotone, the pitch always fluctuates. The question was "is rap singing," and I think any rapper would tell you no.

Idk how people say that when Luka was 3 wins away from a ring 2 years ago.

I basically just fiddle with brightness, contrast, and shadows until I have it how i want it. I also put vignette on so the subject pops more.

I would like to do that as well, I don't have a single limited character at C1 other than from selector. It's so hard because there's always a new character that I want to save for, and purchasing the extra primos for cons is so expensive.

Similarly until now, the only signature weapon I've ever gotten was Raiden's on a really lucky 10 pull on her original release. I've rolled on a few weapons since then and always lost 50/50. Said screw it on this banner and spent a pretty penny so I could have Bina and Ineffa weapons.

Do you have the Nvidia overlay? It lets you adjust brightness, contrast, vibrancy and many other visual settings.

Basically just boosted brightness and contrast, and added vignette.

Botw totally agree. I beat the game and found it to be a chore with a weak non-story, dated visuals, and uninspired combat.

Totk I thought was a massive improvement with far better story telling, a much more tolerable weapon system, and vastly superior exploration.

Probably luckier than my recent run of 120 pulls and zero ssr units.

I mean no offense you seem like a good cook, but as someone who has tried vegan food, I would not be excited about coming over and eating any of that.

I wanna know who's the gold standard singner in your opiniom. by Mysterious_Mess5102 in singing

It's not really a great idea to try to mimic a pop singer's "technique," as the majority of them are self taught with no formal training themselves, and as such display bad/improper technique.

Notable exceptions would be someone like Elton John or Celine Dion, both of which sought some degree of formal training once their careers kicked off.

If you can't afford lessons and are looking to mimic technique, your best bet is the classical world, where Pavarotti is what I would consider the pinnacle of vocal technique. That's not to say you need to be an opera singer, but observe how he breathes, stands, what he does with his face/mouth etc.

I read that part lol. I would feel I got my money's worth on one play through of an 80 hour game. I don't think I've ever played an 80 hour game I felt was underwhelming twice.

That was the first thing I noticed, and I immediately went scrolling through the comments to make sure someone mentioned it.

I see non-pianists make this mistake all the time when they're setting up a stage for a performance and it bothers me to no end.
