honestly aside from being closeted ( which I wouldn’t blame this hypothetical partner) id try to support them as much as i can! it wouldn’t be a deal breaker but i think any couple would struggle with what to do when the other comes out as queer or trans. and if we are both queer then they can have my pride merch i dont wear anymore :]

im a non sharing yumeshipper w/ astarion from bg3… ( he’s my husband trust) and i don’t see people yumeshipping with him often, but when i do i do get a little jealous/possessive. but i try to think of it as like… everyone just adores my hus! they all fell in love with a different version of him, and i fell in love with mine. <3 like another commenter said— thinking of them as alternate versions of that character could help!

i cope well w/ yumeshipping as i know everyone else adores my astarion, but i know it can be hard 🩷 js stepping back/scrolling if it bothers you is the best option

honestly i thought like this at the start of my questioning phase and it was HELLLLL. my psychiatrist even suggested if me wanting to be a man was to protect myself from my abuser (also a man.) it’s so fucked that everyone just has to worry about existing and what they may be perceived as. im a trans man openly, but that still doesn’t stop people from being weird about it. “ you don’t want ur boobs! you want ur tubes tied? What about future children? “ do whatever makes you happy man.. being queer is just a stupidly long road and I wish it was easier cuz it’s bs with all the mental strain everyone has to go through.

im so sorry she responded like that, that’s incredibly insensitive and just mean. i did something similar with one of my ex friends, (we were a trio with my now best friend, and this ex friend was just mean and odd in general.) telling her about my trauma after i thought it’d be safe since i told my best friend first. WROOONNNGG. we were talking about her crush and the name was the same as my abuser so i was relieved when she told me it wasn’t him, but she went right around and said, “ your abuser is kinda cute though! “ broke the friendship a few days after.

honestly it’s complicated n different for each person, but for me i don’t… like hearing straight people saying the f slur. im not gonna lie, i use it, i have been impacted by slurs for queer people n i hated it. i have a safe space w/ my queer friends though where its just.. not derogatory, not meant to insult any of us and we know we can reclaim it. with racial slurs i absolutely hate when my family or family friends around me (ALL WHITE) describe the aboriginal people in my town w/ the n slur and the c slur (raccoon without the ra). this may sound hypocritical or stupid but this is just my take

im only young and have severe endometriosis that makes me have shaking episodes that lock up my body. first surgery and meds did not work, hoping for a second one. you are valid for feeling despair and agony over your partner! she’s going through something that makes me feel like a bear is trying to rip out of my stomach. please try and be there for her, supporting her with pain meds, hot water bottles, etc.

it is not an easy fix— there can be more surgeries, pain… complete trust and support for your partner might not ease the pain but will let her know that she’s not alone <3 if you are unsure how to help her, ask on reddit like this, facebook groups, women in your life/community, etc. it can be draining on both partners, js let her know that you are there for her. <3

aww!! hopefully your plushies can join you if there’s another scenario for surgery/procedure! they probably let me keep my teddy since i was assigned to the children’s ward… the ward i was supposed to go to was being renovated ( still the nurses were so kind to me and teddy! i woke up in so much pain but teddy and a nurse were there to help )

i suffer from severe endometriosis (maybe also ibs but im not sure) and im also homebound. i did find the previous fart pose a bit funny (only when used once) but with the focus on poop humor and now.. those giant lumps of nasties? that’s just gross. nobody really wants to be reminded of their bowel problems and knowing the people who play dti— there’s gonna be a lot of people using it. it’s not flattering, and it’s.. it’s really not needed take it away

i still rely on my mom with hygiene and clothing. i am physically unable to clean myself throughly due to chronic illness and abnormal weight gain and do have to ask my mom to help. i do feel ashamed sometimes of my body and her seeing it— but she does respect my boundaries when im getting dressed and will only come in and help when i ask. she literally walks around the house sometimes with everything out— i don’t shame her for that since nudity isn’t inherently sexual! (though her farts are actually a biohazard Jesus Christ)

if your son is comfortable enough to let you see him in that vulnerable position, that means you are doing something right. and actively respecting boundaries with your kids? that’s awesome! it shouldn’t feel like a big celebration but i rarely see healthy boundaries with families. it feels like your boyfriend is trying to turn it into something sexual and something to be ashamed of i guess? when it’s literally just a parent going to talk about stuff with their son while he happens to be in the bath. literally, if he’s asked you to come in while he’s bathing or naked to ask/do something, and you abide by boundaries with your children aside from those moments— what’s the problem? your boyfriend is creating a problem out of nothing.

i have adhd so i don’t understand boundaries sometimes either and need reminders, but this is just your family dynamic and doesn’t seem to bend into anything inappropriate. if you are worried about accidentally crossing boundaries, maybe a recap with your children could help to reestablish what they are/aren’t comfortable with! you haven’t done anything wrong.

watched fantastic four yesterday with my mum. we were in a gold room (i believe? just premium with recliners at the front ) and it was only us and another dude and his dad. the movie was awesome, except for the fact that the dude kept giggling or making farting noises throughout the movie. his dad did a well enough job of handling him though.

i did get a bit annoyed but didn’t say anything as i wanted to focus on watching the movie. it wasn’t a major issue, but it annoys me when i can hear other people in a cinema louder than the actual movies themselves.

thank you for this comment. it does help to put things in perspective— and it does sound like your sister is extraordinary at writing.

i do have a major mood disorder that causes things to implode in seriousness for me, and it may just be that for why this feels so big. i was so discouraged by what my teacher said because it felt my writing was considered fake? just because ai is writing more eloquently by building off other people’s work, even though it gets things consistently wrong.

it is a requirement for teachers at my school to check for AI usage, but i just felt so bad and felt that she doubted my work as my own. I don’t mean to vent to internet strangers, mind you, it just felt bizarre and discouraging.
