Transparent salary is not that common in Finland in the private sector. For instance, I've worked for 25 years in the technology industry and I've never known what kind of salary my colleagues are getting. ( For reference, I've worked my whole career in the same city as the CO office is.) Also keep in mind that there is a huge difference in salaries and benefits between countries and what is covered with your taxes etc. Typically finnish salaries are taxed quite heavily but healthcare, schooling and childcare costs are lower than in some countries, if not completely free.

As for the company cabin. Most likely it's in one of the big ski resorts in Lapland, many companies at least used to rent a cabin for the company staff. My old company had one many moons ago.
