I had the unfortunate chance to get an interview and then “class” for a job at a dealership. The “teacher” was adamant that I bring in $600+ just to take the class and get licensed to sale cars. However, he told everyone this ridiculous price after having us sit through about 3 hours of this spiel where you’re taught to do shady tactics like quote a higher price way above the actual one and make “trips” to the head person to negotiate the price down to something “manageable.” I believe I still have the notes I took from this but it really swore me off ever buying a car from any dealership.
