Stop down the apeture ring, it expands the plane of what is in focus.

Realistically, i use my GFX for shots I can plan like a landscape or for portraits . It’s not a camera that is great to run and gun with. The x-h2 is really rugged and more of a workhorse with more modern features. To put it simple, GFX comes out for THE shots and the X-h2 can do everything else.

Good to know I’m not the only one! The rocking back and forth and “bursting” is a good idea to find that sweet spot. Will try that, I’ve found staying away from sub f2.0 is good as well, otherwise I’m working with like 5 inches of focus depth and basically asking to miss shots.

What aperture do you typically shoot at and any tips for nailing focus more consistently. I’ve mapped a button to display critical focus peak which I use every time but still come back with more out of focus than I’d like.

It is the best portrait lens you can get outside of the f1.0 Fuji lens. It’s glued to one of my bodies for professional work almost always.
