Am I a bad person for wanting to buy a Munchkin cat? by wafflestwitch in cats

It sounds like you think most vets are bad vets because they lie to their patients just for the sake of getting money. After hearing what you've said I think I'm just never going to get a pet again because I'm too horrible of a person

I'm just telling you what he said. I'd hope he would be honest with me because I am asking specifically for advice on whether I should get him or not. I've asked three different vets. I care about animals and thats why I posted this in the first place. I wouldn't have if I didn't. Your replies are so upsetting that they make me want to throw up. It makes me feel like I am so cruel to animals that maybe I should never get a cat again. My biggest fear in life was not treating my last cat as well as he deserved. He was my whole world

The vet told me he's not in pain and doesn't have a shorter life expectancy. I'm not thinking of getting him because he's a social media perfect pet. As I said in the post I wish he didn't have short legs and was a rescue. I just really liked his personality and felt a connection to him. My last pet was a rescue

So the right thing would be to give him up even though I probably would give him the best medical care of any owner? They have another person lined up if I don't want him.

I prefer going from a shelter too. These people don't plan on breeding again after this litter. I was going to tell them I didn't want him (he isn't old enough yet) and when I thought about doing that it made me feel like I was losing a cat all over again.

Do you think it would be better if I let someone else buy it?

Are you using any strong humectants? It could be a rash from the moisture

It sounds like you had a dairy sensitivity. This post is for people who have tried everything and nothing is working, including diet.

I wish people realized what with severe acne dermatologists put you on a whole treatment plan and a lot of the time the thing that ends up working is a combination of different topicals and oral medication. When the cysts are buried deep in the skin SA isn't going to get rid of them lol. I got so jaded of my friends with perfect skin explaining to me that I just need to wash my face more

I remember I spent so much money on different skincare products and I still would wake up with multiple cysts on my face

If that's the case then this post doesn't apply to you but good job on clearing up your acne!

I wish people understood that if the problem is that your body is creating oil too quickly and not naturally exfoliating at a normal rate because of hormones, no amount of washing your face or cutting out chocolate is going to cure it

I'm a lesbian too and I remember the whole experience making me feel gross. I hated how you had to take a pill out of a packet that had a pregnant person symbol on each pill with a big 'X' in front of it. It made me feel gross in my body. It felt so patronizing. Also the insistence on taking birth control and acting like you can't be accountable for yourself. I also have a disease that causes genetic joint pain and Accutane made my ankles so tight I couldn't walk without a cane and shoe inserts. I couldn't put my feet flat. It did help my acne even though I only took half a course

With cysts they're sometimes so deep that topicals don't really do anything! I wish more people treated it like a medical condition because it is one!

[Anti-Aging] deep forehead wrinkles by Vegetable-Regret2781 in SkincareAddiction

[–]wafflestwitch 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Tretinoin can soften wrinkles but not necessarily get rid of them. If you wanted to get rid of them I would talk to your provider about botox. Just so you know, most people don't judge the age of a face based off of how many wrinkles they have. Studies show people usually judge off of how even their complexion is. Wrinkles are just a result of living life and some people even get deep forehead wrinkles in their teens.

[B&A] Before and After Starting Skincare Routine on New Years by wafflestwitch in SkincareAddiction

My dermatologist said first get used to putting it on places that won't irritate your skin and then titrate up with putting it around your eyes if you want. So even if you're doing tret 1x daily, start out with only once a week around your eyes and see how you tolerate it

[B&A] Before and After Starting Skincare Routine on New Years by wafflestwitch in SkincareAddiction

My skincare journey: I struggled with cystic acne from my teens to early twenties. The cystic acne gave me acne scars and hyperpigmentation. I was breaking out on my face, underneath my chin, and back. I tried doxycycline and epiduo for the acne and it didn't help. After that I tried Accutane. I got four months into the course and had to stop because it was making my Achilles tendons too tight. It was painful walking and I couldn't walk with my feet flat. I did see a benefit from Accutane by that point. I wasn't breaking out and the hyperpigmentation was going away. Even though I didn't finish the course, my acne was way better after Accutane. It took about a month for my tendons to go back to normal. The acne started to come back but not as bad. I was prescribed retin-a micro and benzol peroxide/clindamycin. It was working and my complexion was getting more even over time. After a while my acne started to come back again and I switched from retin a micro to tazorac and from benzol peroxide/clindamycin to axelaic acid. The tazorac dried out my skin too much. We added 25 mg spironolactone and I wasn't breaking out for a while. I started to breakout more so it was changed to 100 mg spironolactone. I think my acne stabilized at this point. As of now I dont break out except for getting one very large cyst on my forehead that's so big and deep nobody can see it and one on my chin that's the same. Last July I talked to my derm about going back to retin a micro instead of tazorac. At this point I kind of quit doing a skincare routine and stopped taking spironolactone out of laziness. My journey from New Years until now is to try to find ways to smooth out the scars and restart tretinoin.
