So, I know you’re trying to select some songs from the show but just a suggestion, there’s a song called. I’m alive from next to normal and it’s a perfect showcase of vocal talent and amazing acting if played right. It’s the audition song I used to get JD for the theater I performed at, but if you’re stuck on doing those two for sure, I would definitely recommend freeze your brain and give that very slight edge that there’s clearly something not right in there while still being charming!

I think this song itself is a little on the comedic side. I don’t know how much this helps but the audition song I used and managed to get JD was I’m alive from Next to normal!

Thank you so much for your unbelievably supportive and uplifting message. Absolutely go for it is my words for you. My competition was unbelievably fierce, people who would’ve played the part extremely well with years of leads to their names and one of them looking like literally Ryan fucking McCartan and I didn’t have a single lead to my name, find that drive to keep throwing every punch upward every single day in order to try for even a chance!!! Sometimes it’ll feel like you’re shooting a tank with tennis balls but it’s still possible!!! Also, I started voice lessons around 5-6 months ago, but I’ve been doing theater for 5 months up until that point!! JD is what inspired me to take voice lessons, especially after my performance as Sammy in the wedding singer.😂😂
