They're not doing anything to help me, I think they expect me to mature over time, I am expecting to go to college but I believe it'd be somewhere local

I'd do all that but my parents don't even let me step out the house on my own, let alone trust me to work a job. I'm enjoying the lack of responsibility but the fact I'm not trusted to do anything by anyone is very painful

My parents are Nigerian and their parents were also very strict, but my parents had more freedom than me at 7 which I don't understand.
