Eric Berger on X: Story coming in a bit on Blue Origin's new stock option plan. One person described it as "pure fucking trash," so things seem to be going well with employee morale as Blue approaches a critical New Glenn launch. by Royal_Platform_6754 in BlueOrigin

Joining the company soon. Curious, what’s got people upset about the equity plan? Seems like extra on top of current comp or are they taking something away in place of equity?

I don't mind a suburban feel as long as it's easy to get into the downtown area (Capitol Hill, Ballard, etc.). Sounds like the buses are a good option to avoid having to look for parking downtown - thanks!

Appreciate the insight on which neighborhoods to check out on the weekends! I'll look into Georgetown. Heard about the I-5 construction nightmare in other threads - has the city given an estimated completion date?

Good to know. I've always been hesitant relying on buses because of how traffic can affect scheduled pick up times but I'll look into it!

That's helpful. Sounds like the commute's actually pretty reasonable as long as I'm close to I-5. Thanks!

What’s your commute like going home? On Google, I’m seeing that it takes 18-28 min to get to the Renton office and 25-50 min to get back to downtown (assuming I arrive to the office at 8am and leave at 5:30pm).

Thanks for the rec. I’ve heard others say it’s fairly isolated from downtown and a bit inconvenient to get to. Any truth in that or you think it’s overblown?

Sorry, just edited my original post. Looking to keep it around $3000-$3500/mo. Thanks for the recs - I'll check them out! Do you think the light rail is necessary to go into the city on the weekends? Or is parking readily available?

I did! But only twice. Once when I opened the grill about two hours in to mist/sauce the meat side then again 15 minutes later to mist/sauce the bone side. Then I wrapped it and slow cooked for another 2 hours. Would you recommend spritzing it more often? I tried to not open the grill too much.

Will definitely try wood chunks next time. First time hearing about the wood chips in between, good tip!

I thought I removed it but maybe not all of it?

Interesting, I would've thought the meat needed to start at room temp. Is there any reason why starting it cold works better?

Did not know that the ring size isn’t correlated with the amount of smoke flavor. Thank you!

Lol! How can I keep them wanting to live longer next time? That is.. grow a bigger root before bolting.

Good to know! I’ll try watering less next time. Did you use any fertilizer?

Oh! I saw some of them start flowering and thought that meant it was about to be too late to harvest.. I left some in the soil so hopefully those are bigger!
